Hi, I'm Robert! 👋🏽
Senior UX/UI Designer
Professional friction fighter. I sand down the rough edges so users glide, not grind.
Career motto = If it feels smooth, the friction is gone.
My Story 📚
Once upon a time…
There was a young boy, he wanted to be the very best… like no one ever was!!!
(Sorry, had to get out the Pokemon reference. 🙂↕️)
But seriously, I was a passionate artist growing up that would draw literally anything. If there was a pencil laying around, well…good luck to the pencil. I believe my love for shows like Power Rangers, Dragonball Z, and Naruto further catapulted my desire for creating dynamic pieces of art.
Later down the line, I began my career as a graphic designer, gaining valuable experience helping clients build or refresh their brands. I later earned a master’s degree in Business Analytics which deepened my skills in data warehousing, research, competitive analysis, system operations, and reporting.
Over time, I realized my true passion was in UX/UI design, where I could combine visual creativity with analytical insight. After completing my master’s, I spent the following nine months in an intensive UX bootcamp with the inclusion of Front End Development.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines are among my key strengths. I thrive in collaborative, inclusive teams and value feedback from developers and stakeholders.
Here is how I fun
I like to stay active with tennis, pickleball, and full-body workouts. Most weeks I meet up with friends for tennis matches that gets pretty competitive. (You would think there's money on the line 🙃)
When it comes to music, I explore a wide range of genres, with a special interest in underground artists. Some of my favorites include Johnny Rain, Odeal, Omah Lay, Victony, Melvitto, Brakence, Dijon, and Mk.gee.
Feeding the brain
Keeping up with global news as well as topics in psychology and design have been molded into who I am. Most mornings I start the day with articles on Medium and podcasts like "Diary of a CEO" by Robert Greene and "Growth Mindset Psychology". They help me stay current on world events, modern business trends, and insights into human behavior.
